Unknown Tid-Bits: 2/19-2/25

My husband dripped the insides of the chicken pot pie he made last night on the inside of the oven. I turned it on to make dinner tonight and now not only does my kitchen smell like nasty burning nastiness there is this ominous gray haze in the air. I don't think that smell ever really leaves a room once it's there. Bummer!

Unknown Tid-Bits:
-I am extremely scared of spiders. ISH!!! Just the thought of them makes my skin crawl *shiver*
-I have a shoe obsession. Boots and heals are my favorite. Unfortunately I don't really know how to walk in heals, so I keep buying them because I love them and don't wear them :(
-I am the worst speller on the planet! So I'm apologizing right now for my future (and past) spelling mistakes :)
-I'm very mean spirited...LOL yeah right. Not at all actually. I have a tendency to let people push me around.
-Tonight I straightened my hair for the first time in over 3 years!!! Long doesn't even begin to describe it!
-I have never filed my own taxes, it was always my mom and now my husband. Am I ashamed to say that? Absolutely not! I wouldn't know the first thing to do so I consider myself lucky that my husband does.
-We consider pizza a food group in our house :)

Useless Knowledge
-A 10-gallon hat barely holds 6 pints          Why would someone know this? And what do you think they measured it with; water? milk? My guess is beer :)
-Every time you lick a stamp, you're consuming 1/10 of a calorie.          I bet it won't take long for someone to pick up on this and come up with a calorie free stamp...wait they already did. Aren't all stamps stickers now?
-Spotted skunks do handstands before they spray.          lol I'm going to keep my comment about this to myself on this one lol
-Some ribbon worms will eat themselves if they can't find any food.          "Gee I can't find any food I guess I'll just have to eat myself." I don't know what would be worse starvation or bleeding to death.
-Some toothpaste's contain antifreeze.          I should use that excuse at the dentist the next time I go.

Boudoir Testimonial: Ms S

"I have to say that I was absolutely nervous about doing the boudoir shoot after looking at some of the sites. After having two kids I am not entirely comfortable with my body. I was amazed as we started to shoot how relaxed and comfortable I was. Thank you Lesli (and Amanda) for such a confidence boosting experience "

Because I've known Ms S for so long I wasn't entirely sure how this shoot was going to go. It could have gone one of two ways; we could have been completely comfortable with each other and had no problem or it could have been kind of awkward because we have known each other for so long. I don't know what I was worried about because everything went beautifully. She didn't seem to have any problem with the camera and the camera definitely didn't have any problems with her ;)! We just had a lot of fun.

Unknown Tid-Bits: 2/11-2/17

Every week as I'm doing the Useless Knowledge there are things that I can't help that go through my mind. Now I don't know why you would care what I think about all this stuff but I figure if you're reading this in the first place you must kind of care so I'm going to add my random thoughts to each useless piece of knowledge.

Unknown Tid-Bits:
-I was a cutter for many years.
-I am currently cross-stitching Alivia's (one of my twins) Christmas stocking. I love love love to cross-stitch!!!
-I am multi-racial. I am 1/4 Norwegian 1/4 German and 1/2 Black
-I don't remember the last time I wore my hair any other way than in two braids...hmmmmm...nope can't remember
-I only get to go to the mall maybe 3 or 4 times a year, if I'm lucky
-There are 3 scents that instantly take me back to my childhood...Nexxus Humectress Conditioner, Alberto V05 Conditioning Hairdressing, and Brut Men's Aftershave.

Useless Knowledge:
-A "jiffy" is an actual unit of time for 1/100th of a second.
So the next time someone tells you that they will be there in a 'jiffy' you can say "No you won't" :)
-All porcupines float in water.
I can't even float in water so this is pretty impressive to me
-The international telephone dialing code for Antarctica is 672.
This would be handy to know if you knew anyone in Antarctica or if there were phone in Antarctica
-The electric chair was invented by a dentist.
This doesn't make me feel any better about going to the dentist.
-The glue on Israeli postage stamps is certified kosher.
LOL I just find this really funny. It makes sense that it would be, but that doesn't beg the question WHY?

Breathtaking Ms. S's Boudoir Shoot

Getting the ok to post some of Ms. S's Boudoir Session was a pleasant surprise to say the least. She did them as a Christmas present for her wonderful husband but like I have said before these sessions turn out to be as much for the woman as for the guy and Ms. S was no exception.
Her confidence read through so easily that I had absolutely no problem getting a ton of beautiful images of her. The fact that she has had two children was just an afterthought. She has the face of an angel and legs to die for!
I know I had just as much fun as she did on this shoot. Thank you so much guys for letting me share these amazing images!

This last image was my second favorite from the whole shoot (my #1 Mr. decided that one was just for him:) and I really don't blame him) The thing I love so much about this shot is how simple it is and her absolute breathtaking beauty shines through.

Once again thank you to Amanda of Princess Pine Events and Design for assisting on this shoot. You're awesome!

Testimonial: Andreina

"Thank you sooo much for taking pictures of my family! It was such a great time for everyone, including my crabby Bear! I can't believe you make him smile and giggle! You have the touch girl!" -Andreina

I have to admit that I have a hard time taking compliments so when someone sends me something to post on here it makes me tear up a little every time! Thank you Andreina for letting me be a part of your family and convincing your husband to go along with it ;) I cannot wait for the many family milestones to come that I have the pleasure of documenting for you!

Beautiful Ms. K's Boudoir Shoot

I haven't done many Boudoir Sessions yet so it's always fun for me when I have the opportunity to do one. Ms. K was a lot of fun to shoot.
I honestly don't know what she looked like in her teens or 20s but I do know that she is absolutely gorgeous now! There were a couple of times I had to remind myself to move on to a different pose or different location because I would get caught up in a certain light and how breathtaking she is. Not only is she beautiful on the outside but she is a genuinely nice, caring person.
On top of all of that, out of the boudoir sessions that I have done she is the only one that has been brave and confident enough to let me post a few of her pictures!

I have to admit that when she told me that she was bringing a full length fur coat I was a little nervous about it. I was still even after I saw it but once she put it on it was awesome. She is the only person that I know that could pull off something so dramatic and not only pull it off she worked it!

This shot is a little bonus. This is the one that I sent to her first as her little sneak peek. I picked this one because I did absolutely NO touch up on her. I boosted the color of the background and blurred the edges a little but as far as she goes that is 100% all beautiful her!

A little thank you to Amanda of Princess Pine Events and Design for assisting on this shoot. I really don't know what I would do without her 'Type A' eye :)
