Strange And Wonderful At The Same Time

I was so lucky to be able to fit in a shoot with these new parents before they packed up and went on the road with their new addition. I can't even put into words how wonderful and strange this session was for me :) . Strange in the sense of; if you would have told me back in 6th grade that these two were going to end up happily married with a beautiful baby girl I would have thought you were crazy. Well seeing them together now it's beyond obvious that they belong together. The love that they have for each other and for their little princess fills the room to a point where it almost takes your breath away.
I am so unbelievably happy for them and I hope that when they decide to come back home I get a chance to do another shoot with them. Seeing them reminds me how incredibly lucky I am to have the people in my life that I do, and who doesn't need that reminder every now and then!
I hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Unknown Tid-Bits: 3/4-3/10

So earlier today we piled the whole family into the mini van to go town to get bags for the vacuum cleaner. We ended up driving an extra hour and a half to Two Harbors. Why? I'm not really sure. We went grocery shopping but it wasn't a very well thought out action. We ended up not getting home until about 3:45 all of us a little crabby because we sat in the car for that long for no real good reason.
Luckily it was a beautiful day so it was a very nice drive.

Unknown Tid-Bits:
-My favorite author is James Patterson. Now if only I had time to read:(
-My sophomore year I played Patty Simcox in our high school production of "Grease" I also was ;Moth' in "Midsummer Nights Dream"
-I know how to drive a stick shift!
-Both my grandmother and my dad don't have middle names. (at least not that I know of)
-I love broccoli
-My husband is my bestest best friend:)

Useless Knowledge:
-A cockroach can live several weeks with its head cut off.          I don't know if I've posted this bit of knowledge before but I still can't really believe it. It just doesn't seem possible that a living thing could live for that long with such a major part of its existence cut off. Amazing!
-A hippo can open its mouth wide enough to fit a 4 foot tall child inside.          This is a disturbing image to me...am I alone in that?
-A male emperor moth can smell a female emperor moth up  to 7 miles away.          Sometimes I think men are like this.
-A whale's penis is called a dork.          I don't know which is more strange the fact that a whales penis has a name or the fact that I already knew this bit. LOL Gotta love juvenile humor :)
-Camel's milk does not curdle.          Why? This is really interesting to me. Every other kind of milk curdles doesn't it? Why not camel's? That's cool!

Anna & Will's Long Awaited Day

Once again I have a little disclaimer before I start this post. I was hired as a second shooter to Jess Oullis Smith of Oullis Photography at the request of the bride. Oullis Photography was the contracted business. These images were taken by me and edited by me.

OK now that that's out of the way :) I'm finally getting a chance to post some images from this beautiful wedding. I have now had the amazing opportunity to do a few weddings for friends and this one was no exception. I have known the bride for many many years, she actually graduated the year after I did. She is not only beautiful on the outside but on the inside as well. I have watched her son grow from an adorable baby to an energetic, fun loving young man. I have also known the groom for a while. He is a well respected Sheriff's Deputy here in Cook County. He is by far one of the nicest, most loving men that I know. I got to see their family grow by one last year and was one of the many jumping up and down when they finally decided to make it official. I love these people like my own family and the fact that they wanted me to be such an important part of their day was a great honor.

Please bare with my first attempt at collages.

Unknown Tid-Bits: 2/26-3/3

One of my brides is on Pinterest and I have to admit I was so excited to hear it. It's a great way for me to get to know her style and for her to get to know mine. I highly recommend Pinterest for so many reasons! I've gotten 2 awesome recipes off there and plan on trying out some more. I have a board for that :)
This is where you can find me   http://www.pinterest.com/falonphoto/   Come pin with me!!!

Unknown Tid-Bits:
-If I had the money I would totally get a 'Mommy Job'
-I would absolutely love to adopt a child from here in the States!
-I don't wear make-up because I don't know how to put it on.
-I hate Dora the Explorer. I love the idea behind the show but I absolutely can't stand the fact that they are yelling thru the hole thing! Unfortunately for me all three of my kids love it.
-Whenever I eat any sort of Asian food I use chopsticks. Is that strange?
-At one point in my life I really wanted to study to be a Wiccan. It's fascinating to me but I don't have nearly enough time to dedicate.
-I played the flute in band from 5th-12th grade. Have to admit that I miss it.

Useless Knowledge
-Honeybees have hair on their eyes.          This is something that for the life of me I can't figure out why in the world would they need to have hair on their eyes?
-The average bank teller loses about $250 every year.          Now you can't tell me that someone that works at a bank doesn't use this piece of information to their advantage.
-Our eyes are always the same size from birth, but our nose and ears never stop growing.          This explains a lot about why old men look the way they do.
-America's first nudist organization was founded in 1929, by 3 men.          LOL Why does this not really surprise me :)
-Almost a quarter of the land area of Los Angeles is taken up by automobiles.          I honestly thought that it would be more.
