Jen & Jarrod's E-Session

Bath time at our house is the most dreaded part of the day. Sometimes I wonder if my kids were born with an innate fear of water. It would make sense in a way that my kids would hate water so much because I do, but it's getting out of hand. To be honest it verges on humorous because they freak out so badly. Seriously am I alone in this?

This post was really hard for me. I had a folder of over 30 pictures that I wanted to share but Google flagged me saying that I didn't have enough space available to load that many. So not only did I have to narrow down the number that I wanted to share I had to delete some of my older posts. Picking and choosing is an impossible task for me. 

I've decided that this bride, Jen, is my long lost high school friend. She is my kind of girl. Jarrod is one lucky lucky man. I cannot wait for their detail filled wedding at the end of June!!!!!!

Ms Rs Senior Session

I'm not totally sure if I've said this before or not so I'm going to say it again...one of my favorite photography blogger does random rants before every post. I don't know why exactly but I absolutely love it. So I'm going to follow her lead, steal her idea I guess you could say, and do the same. I'm just going to talk about whatever random thought comes to mind before my posts. Sounds like fun huh? Yeah I think so too!

So, here it goes.

In these last couple weeks I've had to contemplate what has become the standard for controlling natural bodily functions. I thought my days were consumed by poop and pee before, well in potty training my twin girls I have realized we take for granted such everyday actions as going to the bathroom. It turns out that one of my girls is absolutely terrified of going to the bathroom on the potty. And why wouldn't she be? There is this substance coming out of her body and it's not like it feels nice! I've heard many stories about other littles that have been equally scared of the concept. We put so much pressure on our kids but it's hard for me not to feel bad about this. My biggest fear is that she's going to end up with some fobia of the toilet...that would be my luck.

OK on to my recent mini senior session. I got the wonderful opportunity to shoot in Duluth. Unfortunately the weather didn't want to cooperate with my schedule so we had to cut our session short because of the rain :/ boo.

Strange And Wonderful At The Same Time

I was so lucky to be able to fit in a shoot with these new parents before they packed up and went on the road with their new addition. I can't even put into words how wonderful and strange this session was for me :) . Strange in the sense of; if you would have told me back in 6th grade that these two were going to end up happily married with a beautiful baby girl I would have thought you were crazy. Well seeing them together now it's beyond obvious that they belong together. The love that they have for each other and for their little princess fills the room to a point where it almost takes your breath away. 

I am so unbelievably happy for them and I hope that when they decide to come back home I get a chance to do another shoot with them. Seeing them reminds me how incredibly lucky I am to have the people in my life that I do, and who doesn't need that reminder every now and then!

Unknown Tid-Bits: 3/4-3/10

So earlier today we piled the whole family into the mini van to go town to get bags for the vacuum cleaner. We ended up driving an extra hour and a half to Two Harbors. Why? I'm not really sure. We went grocery shopping but it wasn't a very well thought out action. We ended up not getting home until about 3:45 all of us a little crabby because we sat in the car for that long for no real good reason.
Luckily it was a beautiful day so it was a very nice drive.

Unknown Tid-Bits:
-My favorite author is James Patterson. Now if only I had time to read:(
-My sophomore year I played Patty Simcox in our high school production of "Grease" I also was ;Moth' in "Midsummer Nights Dream"
-I know how to drive a stick shift!
-Both my grandmother and my dad don't have middle names. (at least not that I know of)
-I love broccoli
-My husband is my bestest best friend:)

Useless Knowledge:
-A cockroach can live several weeks with its head cut off.          I don't know if I've posted this bit of knowledge before but I still can't really believe it. It just doesn't seem possible that a living thing could live for that long with such a major part of its existence cut off. Amazing!
-A hippo can open its mouth wide enough to fit a 4 foot tall child inside.          This is a disturbing image to me...am I alone in that?
-A male emperor moth can smell a female emperor moth up  to 7 miles away.          Sometimes I think men are like this.
-A whale's penis is called a dork.          I don't know which is more strange the fact that a whales penis has a name or the fact that I already knew this bit. LOL Gotta love juvenile humor :)
-Camel's milk does not curdle.          Why? This is really interesting to me. Every other kind of milk curdles doesn't it? Why not camel's? That's cool!
